Dee sleeping over was awesome. I realized the other day how to put into words why friendships are often so much more satisfying than romantic relationships- when I stay up all night talking about Buffy the Vampire Slayer with someone, I never feel like they wanted to do that with someone, I take it for granted that they wanted to do it with me. I never feel that way about kissing. Maybe if I was really beautiful or good at kissing or something, I would feel differently about that.

Anyway, I finally have almost all of my Christmas shopping done. I just have to get something for my mom.

I've started a new journal and have been writing a lot in it. I don't want to just write what I did today or what's going on in my life right now, I've been writing a lot about first kisses and first parties and how I met my best friends. I write in it so much, I'm going to turn into Anais Nin.

Tomorrow is my first day on the YAAC board. I hope it works out, I don't want to look for other community service.

I finished the last page of my diary before today! This is very exciting because I've never actually finished a journal before. I've never even come close. I always end up getting sick of it and tossing it aside, but this one's all done. I even gave it a title and it sorta kinda has chapters...like each entry is organized by a song lyric that sums it up. The title of the whole thing is ( I Don't Know What to do with Myself )

I'm pretty proud of it...tell you what, to spice things up I'll turn the chapter titles into a contest- one point for each one where you can identify the song/artist and a whopping five points if you can guess at least one person/specific concept I mentioned in that entry. Anyone who gets at least twenty points wins, uh...a date with me. Or I'll make you some pretty cool graphics.

I hung out with Dee for four hours today and it was amazing. She's pretty much the coolest girl ever.

I had an insane burst of confidence and asked Andy if he'd want to go out on a date some time. He said no, but I think what's important picking up a new habit of going for what I want.
